What happens after you install it

Get your statement as a PDF
Download the period's PDF from the “statement” or “account summary” section of your bank's mobile app. You can also send it straight to Ekstre Analiz from the share sheet without downloading it first.

Add the PDF to the app
The app opens the document on your device, recognises the bank and the statement period, extracts the transaction lines and sorts your spending into categories.

Take over the tracking
Subscriptions, instalments, the statement date and the payment due date land in one view. You can set a reminder for when a payment is coming up.
Why it runs on your device
A statement is a document; it does not need to travel to another computer to be read. The statement PDF you add in the app is not uploaded to a server for analysis: the document opens on your device, the transaction lines are extracted by your device's own processor, and the result is stored on your device.
The app does not connect to your bank account and asks for no bank username, password or open banking authorisation. The places that do talk to a server are named: account sign-in, cloud backup if you turn it on, and email forwarding if you turn it on. That whole boundary is written out line by line in the table on the homepage and in the privacy policy.
